Every year in December, children get ready for St. Nicholas to visit them. If they’ve been good, he’ll reward them with presents and treats. But if they’ve been bad, they’ll get a lot more than a lump of coal—they’ll have to face Krampus.
Who’s Krampus, you ask? He’s the half-man, half-goat who comes around every year to chase naughty children and maybe even drag them to hell.
According to legend, on Krampusnaucht, which takes place on the night preceding St. Nicholas’ gift giving spree, Krampus dispenses justice to those who are naughty, by distributing coal and switches to those who didn’t make the nice list. Krampus is the evil twin of Santa. When good kids get presents from St.Nicholas and Santa, those who were naughty should be scared of Krampus. Be prepared and ready for those carrying sticks.
This event is a potluck, please bring something to share. We will have a kinky gift exchange so if you want to be a part bring a gift under $25 or white elephant.
